| Surf's Up - GBC's Website Gets A Cool, New Look |
We've re-organized the valuable,
information that was already available and will be adding new information over the next few weeks.
One of the new features is a 'live chat' option. Our customers are already familiar with this helpful new tool, as we've been using
it to help support our customers. Anyone visiting the website can now chat with us directly from our website. Customers are encouraged to copy the shortcut to the chat to their desktops.
You can find the link on the left side bar at
www.gbcrouting.com.
If you haven't visited our website in awhile, jump in and surf a while. There's no telling what you'll find out about the application you've grown to know so well. | We have another addition to our staff!
Stephanie Gusmeri joined GBC Systems this past month in the capacity of Sales Consultant. She as an extensive background in software development, sales, and consulting to the hospitality industry. Her primary focus will
be marketing and new customer acquisition.
So, if you have the opportunity to attend any of the trade shows, stop in at our booth and say hello!

Upgrade Fearlessly |
Over the past several weeks we have been assisting clients with their Advanced Routing upgrades and are pleased to report no noteworthy issues with the upgrade.
In addition to report enhancements, these updates will enable you to export your reports to pdf format, and email them to your clients. It also will include a Help Manual that can take you, step-by-step, through the program's general functions.
This is a major upgrade to the underlying functionality and requires an actual install on each of the computers using GBC Advanced Routing. We have sent out CD's since it is too large to complete over the Internet.
So have no fear -- if you have not
yet received your upgrade CD, please call or email us so that we can arrange for one to be delivered. If you have received your CD call and we'll be
happy to help you. |

Do You Know Where Your Data Is? | Windows Vista |
Over the past few months we have helped several customers with crashed computers. If you have a backup handy, and another computer anywhere on the network, GBC
can get you back up and running in an hour or so. The key here is to have a secure backup.
Backups should be made of all databases used, along with the Custom Reports Directory (at a minumum) to removable media. Tape drives, CDs, USB
Hard External Disks, and USB Flash Drives are all acceptable media.
It is too late after your computer crashes - you must have a backup available before it crashes. Therefore, you should do backups daily to ensure that you do not lose data. Don't be lured into a false sense of security because computers are more reliable than
they used to be. They still crash.
If you do not know where your data is, please feel free to contact our office and we'll help you start backing up.
| Many of the legacy systems are facing obsolescence as Microsoft Vista becomes
the standard operating system sold with new PCs.
Not ours! We've made sure that our program works with Vista so you can rest assured that if you need to upgrade your computers you won't have any problems.
