Is Your Data All Tied Up?
Upcoming Conventions

Summer is almost over and the busy season will begin for GBC as the slower season starts for companies that may require our solutions and services. I hope you have all had a good season and are ready for a break. At GBC, we spend the summer enhancing our program and reflecting on those items that could be upgraded and/or tested.
We are still in the process of implementing a new Support Service that will enable us to handle calls and remote support much better. An expensive proposition for sure, but we believe we will be able to streamline our services and have better control over the remote sessions that we use for training. After all, if you don’t have the right tools to do the job everyone has to work harder.
You may also be thinking about how to streamline your business now that you have had time to realize what you may be missing with your client software. This is the time to start thinking about an upgrade if you are to get it done before another busy season leaves you without the benefit of receiving the information that you need to manage your business and analyze which areas are profitable and which are not.

We have helped solved more problems for clients in the last five years than we ever believed possible.
GBC is proud to announce that Sam Broh, co-founder and former owner/operator of Pine Valley Water in St. Louis, Missouri, has joined GBC Systems. Sam knows just about everything there is to know about the problems you may be experiencing in your business and is available for consultations, demonstrations, and training.
Do you really want to go through another summer of frustration and lack of information? Call us to schedule a demo and talk about how GBC can help solve your problems.

Handheld News
The new Symbol/Motorola MC 35 is out and doing well. It is a small handheld that has been ruggedized and has all of the features needed to run your routes. It has an optional camera if you would like to take pictures of your clients’ locations (such as those pesky awnings that get in the way), a barcode scanner, GPS capabilities, and cellular capabilities so your drivers have the phone and PDA in one unit. Drivers can also sync remotely over the internet so data is always current.
Extech also has a new unit available that is a very, fast, 3-inch printer. This ruggedized printer is so fast that we can now print your logon on each invoice. These printers are a bit bigger but should last longer than some of the others on the market.
| | Still using that legacy software pretending it works well?
Many of those systems are facing total obsolescence as the new Microsoft Vista Operating System becomes the standard sold with new computers.
Don't wait - plan now to make sure a new route distribution program is in the budget before you need to replace any computers.

Is Your Data All Tied Up?
Is your data locked away inside a text based system and trying to get out with a myriad of printed reports? GBC has enhanced its custom reporting capabilities so you can get cross tabbed reports on nearly anything.
It now behaves similarly to Excel Pivot Tables, a click or two changes the way the data is presented so you can have a view of sales for all areas, -- click -- now it is a view of all drivers -- click -- now it is a
view of all products. Very powerful and gives you the ability to pinpoint weak spots.
See us at on of the upcoming conventions for a demonstration, or perhaps you would like a demo online over the internet.
We will even visit your offices for a more personalized demonstration addressing the specific needs of our company. We will also be hosting scheduled internet demonstrations for several participants at the same time so you
can just sit back and silently watch. Our new demonstration software will give us the ability to adress questions while the presentation is going on.
